Monitoring Regulated Drugs
The Department of Health has begun work to create a
Prescription Monitoring Program for the state. The program is required by
state law. It will help stop the misuse of
regulated prescription drugs. It will be a database of the purchases of these drugs. Practitioners and
pharmacists can view the information while making health care decisions. The department has scheduled four
public workshops in October to gather input from the public.
