The Department of Health HIPAA Privacy Office assures that the department complies with HIPAA privacy protections in its covered healthcare component, the Metabolic Treatment Product Program (MTPP), within Newborn Screening.

The Department of Health HIPAA Privacy Office has no authority to enforce HIPAA compliance in other agencies or state laws governing privacy.
