Raising Public Awareness Through Media

Washington's Tobacco Prevention and Control media campaign is designed to:

• Persuade youth not to use tobacco.
• Direct adults who want to quit to the Washington Tobacco Quit Line.
• Educate the public about the dangers of secondhand smoke.

Additionally, the campaign attempts to reach high-risk populations with anti-smoking messages.

The campaign includes advertising on television, radio, billboards, and buses, as well as in malls and on the Internet.
