The Worksite Wellness Resource Kit

The Worksite Wellness Resource Kit outlines the importance of worksite wellness programs, example program strategies, policies and environmental approaches, resources and assessment tools. 

The Worksite Wellness Resource Kit will help your organization: 

  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of your wellness and health promotion policies,

  • Develop an action plan to implement or improve your worksite wellness program through policy and environmental changes, and

  • Provide a multi-faceted payback on your investment.

Summarized below is a simple overview of the Worksite Wellness Resource Kit and the steps you need to take for a successful program.  

Foreword and Introduction

Step 1: Why have a Worksite Wellness Program? Outlines the benefits of an employee wellness program and the return on investment (ROI). 

Step 2: How to Get Started. An overview of how to get started.  This includes management support and how to develop a wellness workgroup

Step 3: Assessing the Worksite.  Assessment tools to evaluate the current environment, employee interests, employee health awareness and individual biometric assessments

Step 4: Programming for my Worksite Example project strategies and resources.  

Step 5: Choosing and Maintaining Projects.  Determine priorities and clearly define the goals and objectives of your wellness program

Step 6: Evaluating My Program: Are we making progress? An overview of what and how to evaluate your program.  Includes a sample evaluation tool.
