What's New with the WIC Nutrition Program?

June 2008

• WIC Assessment Questions Survey
  We want to know how the Assessment Questions are working for you. All staff who certify (certifiers, paraprofessionals, MSS staff, RNs, RDs, etc.) should complete the survey. We will be using feedback from staff for developing Client Services, making slight modifications of the Assessment Questions and for identifying training needs.

  Take the survey, which will take about 10 minutes. Please complete the survey by June 20, 2008.

• Updated Income Guidelines
  The updated income guidelines, effective April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2009, are now available on the WIC Eligibility page, under Information for the Public.

• 2007 Washington WIC Annual Report (PDF, 533.21 KB)
  The 2007 Washington WIC Annual Report and county fact sheets are now available online. Visit our Annual Reports and County Fact Sheets page to view current and past reports. You may email, fax, or mail order requests to the WIC Administration Unit. Contact information is listed on the 2007 Order Form (PDF, 25.64 KB).

• New "Comments" Page
  The WIC Website now has a Comments page! It can be found at www.doh.wa.gov/cfh/WIC/contact.htm, and it has also been added to the site directory on the left side of each page. Topic suggestions are provided, and clicking on one will bring up an email with the selected topic in the subject line. You will see us use this site as one more way to get input from clinic staff, clients, and the public on specific projects like the State Plan or the New Food Choices 2009 project.
