The Office of Infectious Disease and Reproductive Health (IDRH) includes the following five programs: 

Programs target anyone in Washington State at risk of:

The mission of the Office of Infectious Disease and Reproductive Health is to provide medical and administrative direction, coordination, technical assistance and advocacy for issues and services related to the prevention and treatment of STDs, TB, HIV, HCV, and reproductive health. 

The Office provides consultation and expertise for these diseases in the

• development of policy and legislative issues,
• prevention and early intervention services,
• surveillance, program evaluation,
• monitoring of disease trends and
• behavioral risk data, and analysis and dissemination of data. 

In addition, the Office interacts with various advisory and community groups who provide services and/or guidance to Washington State residents. 

Major Elements

• Collaborate with local public health providers to assure disease control
• Facilitate communication among and between community partners, state agencies, advocacy groups, and individuals
• Provide connection to national issues and programs
• Ensure cultural competence of programs
• Align IDRH with DOH strategic plan
