Every individual on the autism spectrum requires a unique blend of
approaches when it comes to learning and developing their full potential.
The physicians, researchers, health and social service providers here
today have a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing services for
individuals with autism spectrum disorders. We have asked them to share
with us their expertise. They will be answering questions which we believe
will move us towards responding to the mandates of SB 5311. Panelists have
3 minutes to answer each question. Purpose of physician and health provider panel: To understand what physicians and other health providers consider to be best practices and barriers to getting quality health care, treatments and therapies for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Physicians / Health Care Panel Questions Purpose of systems panel: To learn more about what social and health system service providers consider to be best practices for serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and to identify gaps in systems that serve individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Systems Panel Questions The Autism Task Force was fortunate enough to have TVW, Washington State’s Public Affairs Network, audio record the entire meeting. We have provided the link to the archive section of TVW. Please feel free to listen at your leisure. Guest Speaker: Thomas M.
