 Environmental Impact Statement

In 1995, Federal agencies completed a national Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that evaluates and compares the different options for gypsy moth control.

  • It is co-authored by the United States Department of Agriculture, U.S. Forest Service, and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

  • The comparative health risk assessment is in Appendix F.

  • To see a copy of the full 1995 EIS (including appendix F), please contact the Washington State Department of Agriculture’s Moth Line at 1-800-443-6684. A summary of a the EIS is available on line at http://www.aphis.usda.gov/ppq/ispm/gm/summary1.pdf

This 1995 federal Environmental Impact Statement is being updated. For information about the update, go to http://na.fs.fed.us/wv/eis/index.html
