Current Rulemaking Activities

Drinking Water Laboratory Certification, chapter 246-390 WAC

Proposed Name Change: Drinking Water Laboratory Data Reporting Rule

Last spring, the Department of Health's Office of Drinking Water prepared a draft rule for reporting laboratory data for public drinking water system monitoring compliance analyses. A revised version of this rule has been prepared based on comments received from labs and public water systems over the past year.

Please provide your comments on the draft rule to the staff below by May 23, 2008.

Group A Public Water Supplies (chapter 246-290 WAC) - Rule change goes into effect July 1, 2008

The Department of Health has adopted a rule change for Group A Public Water Supplies rule. We adopted the change to the goal setting requirement for the Water Use Efficiency rule as required by the Municipal Water Law. The law requires you to design your goal to enhance the efficient use of water by your customers. More Information.

Chapter 246-295 Satellite System Management Agencies - This rule defines requirements for Satellite System Management Agencies.

Fee Schedule (Chapters 246-290-990, 246-292-160, and 246-294-070) (PDF 142KB) - Guidance document of WACs establishing three kinds of fees:

  • Water System Evaluation and Project Review and Approval Fees, WAC 246-290-990;
  • Water Works Certification Fees, WAC 246-292-160; and
  • Drinking Water Operating Permit Fees, WAC 246-294-070.
