 RadNet (Formerly ERAMS)

The Environmental Radiation Monitoring and Assessment Section operates an air particulate and precipitation monitoring station as part of the Environmental Protection Agency's RadNet system. This system involves monitoring stations across the country, collecting a variety of media.

The system is monitors routine conditions and is also used to monitor unusual events, such as Chernobyl.

The equipment of our monitoring station sits on a platform on the roof of Town Center 2.
