Food establishments are required to post hand washing reminder signs at all rest room hand washing sinks.

You are not required to buy a special hand washing sign.

You may create your own sign, or order one from your local (County) health jurisdiction, or download and print the sign below:

The FDA Food Code, as adopted by the State of Washington reads:

6-301.14 Handwashing Signage

A sign or poster that notifies FOOD EMPLOYEES to wash their hands shall be provided at all handwashing lavatories used by FOOD EMPLOYEES and shall be clearly visible to FOOD EMPLOYEES.
