Reciprocal CDL Decontamination Supervisor Certification currently is not offered.  To be certified as a Supervisor in Washington State, follow the steps outlined below.

 
 Step 1 Read:

CDL Supervisor Certification application form. pdf 52 kb  Make sure you review the application in detail to ensure that you understand requirements for certification.

Step 2

Complete:

  • Forty-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) training,

  • 2-day CDL  Decontamination Worker certification course,

  • Forty hours of on-site experience in hazardous material decontamination projects (see explanation on the CDL Supervisor Certification application form pdf 52 kb for type of acceptable experience).

In order to attend the CDL Supervisor Certification Course, you must have current HAZWOPER certification, have completed the CDL Worker Certification Course, and obtained 40 hours of field experience. 

 Step 3 Enroll in:

    Supervisor Certification lasts for 2 years.
