Residential Care Services

Residential Care Services is responsible for licensing and survey of the following facility types:

Residential Treatment Facilities are licensed and operated 24 hours per day to provide health care to persons receiving services for a mental disorder or substance abuse.

Institutional Facilities include all sites operated by the Department of Corrections where offenders reside.  Surveys are conducted using health, environmental, and safety standards which were developed by the Departments of Health and Corrections.

Group Care Facilities provide services for children and are certified utilizing requirements for staffed residential homes and group facilities.

This Web site provides information about how to become licensed/certified, who is currently licensed/certified, how to file a complaint, and other licensing information on Residential Treatment Facilities.
