WEDSS Washington Electronic Disease Surveillance System WEDSS, the Washington Electronic Disease Surveillance System, is a series of programs that automate and standardize the reporting of communicable diseases in Washington State. These projects will make the reporting and investigation of disease faster, simpler and more reliable. It will also assure the consistent and secure exchange of information during a public health emergency. WEDSS projects improve the public health system in Washington by automating public health information and providing a secure 24/7 pipeline for urgent communications during public health emergencies.
